About course

This course will introduce Thai as a foreign language and demonstrate how to utilize it on a daily life for beginning foreign learners. Learners will gain the knowledge by studying examples of vocabulary, phrases, and fundamental Thai grammar that can be implemented and in daily interactions naturally. After completing this course, learners will have gained knowledge and understanding of how to pronounce basic words and phrases used in informal conversations. Learners will able to  use basic vocabulary and simple expressions that are commonly used in everyday communication  and also be able to apply a knowledge and understanding of basic Thai grammar, as well as the ability to communicate effectively in everyday life by using Thai language.

Course Content

    Lesson 0 : Introduction to Thai

    Lesson 1 : HELLO! Nice to meet you

    Lesson 2 : What is this?

    Lesson 3 : Where do you live?

    Lesson 4 : How old are you?

    Lesson 5 : You are Thai, right?

    Lesson 6 : What time is it?

    Lesson 7 : How much?

    Lesson 8 : How is … ?

    Lesson 9 : What would you like to order?

    Lesson 10 : How to get to Chula

Evaluation

There are measurements and assessments via quizzes and posttests, with 50 points awarded for the quiz and 50 points awarded for the posttest. Students must earn a cumulative score equal to the sum of all percentages. Learners who achieve a score of 60% or above will be eligible to receive a Certificate of Completion.

Objectives

    1. To provide foreign learners with knowledge and understanding of the pronunciation of common words and phrases in informal conversations. Learners can use common basic vocabulary and simple expressions used in everyday communication.
    2. To provide foreign learners with knowledge and understanding of basic grammar in Thai language.
    3. Foreign learners able to use Thai language to communicate effectively in daily life.

Note

1. Learners who attend less than 80% of the course progress will not be allowed to take the post-test.

2. You can do the post-test only once.
