About course

‘Survival Thai’ online course provides you lessons on conversations, vocabularies and idioms about self-introduction, pronouns, farewell and thank you expressions, ordering food, time and date, making an appointment, seasons and weather, colors, asking questions, telling directions, making apologies and requests, asking for permissions, prohibitions, body, health,illnesses and hobbies.

Course Content

    Introduction to the sound system of Thai language


    Lesson 1: Introducing oneself

    Lesson 2: Pronouns

    Lesson 3: Saying goodbye and thank you

    Lesson 4: Ordering food

    Lesson 5: Marking apologies, making requests, asking permission and forbidding

    Lesson 6: Time and date

    Lesson 7: Making appointment

    Lesson 8: Directions and traveling

    Lesson 9: Question words and Yes/No questions

    Lesson 10: Seasons and weather

    Lesson 11: Color terms

    Lesson 12: Body

    Lesson 13: Health and illnesses

    Lesson 14: Hobbies

Evaluation

Quizzes and Post-test will be used in course assessment, 50 scores from each. Learners need to pass 60 percent of overall to receive the Certificate of Completion

Objectives

    1. To instruct knowledges about Thai language and culture to Thai and foreign learners.

    2. To develop learners’ Thai communication skills for daily life

Note

1. Learners who attend less than 80% of the course progress will not be allowed to take the post-test.

2. You can do the post-test only once.
